Pune spelled Poona during British rule is the second largest city in the Indian state of Maharashtra after Mumbai and the seventh most populous city in the country.The city is also known for its British Raj “bungalow architecture” and the Garden Cities Movement layout of the Cantonment in the early Twentieth Century.
